Starting a blog is very affordable. You can begin it as a side project to see if you enjoy it since the initial commitment is quite small. You won’t know if blogging is for you unless you give it a try.
I remember when I first started Making Sense of Cents. I had no idea what I was doing, but I decided to go for it to track my personal finance journey. At first, only my husband and sister knew about it. Looking back, I’m so glad I gave blogging a shot. It has dramatically changed my life, and now I love encouraging others to start their own blogs.
Blogging has helped me pay off student loans, quit my day job, travel full-time, and more. Plus, I genuinely enjoy what I do every day.

6. **Affordable**: Starting a blog is inexpensive. I spent less than $100 in my first year. You only need a computer and internet connection.

8. **No Experience Needed**: You don’t need to be an expert to start. Most successful bloggers learned through trial and error.

Is it worth starting a blog in 2024? Absolutely. The online world is growing, and there are always new ways to monetize and grow your blog. While blogging isn’t for everyone and can be a lot of work, it can also be very rewarding.
